Inside the reactor core, our operators start a controlled reaction. As the atoms split, they release energy that heats water. That water is circulated, and creates steam. The steam drives a turbine that generates electricity.

One pellet, the size of your thumbnail, could power an electric car 20,000 miles, so one station, the size of a park, can power 2 million homes.
