Nuclear Takes Responsibility
All energy industries produce waste. For example, waste emissions from fossil fuels include CO2, which results in climate change.
Since nuclear fuel is so powerful, it produces a tiny amount of waste for a huge amount of green energy and no CO2.
Minimal Waste
From the UK’s whole nuclear history, there is a vial’s worth of high-level waste for every person in the UK. In that time, nuclear has generated enough electricity to power every home in the UK for 28 years. New reactors produce even more power for even less waste.
The small amount created is tracked and stored safely by dedicated nuclear workers. They know what to do and have always done their job to keep us safe.
