THE UK’S PLANS
The UK is committed to decarbonising electricity by 2035 using both renewables and nuclear. The UK is building a new nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point C that could provide green electricity to six million homes. It plans to build a replica at Sizewell C, to explore further large-scale nuclear, and to deploy small and advanced modular reactors.
